This website covers the many towpath canal and river walks that I have done since 1999, and includes The Thames Path, Kennet and Avon Canal, Oxford Canal, Basingstoke Canal, River Wey Navigation, Wey and Arun Canal, Chichester Ship Canal, part of the Shropshire Union Canal, and much of the Grand Union Canal, a total approaching nearly 600 miles ......!

 

It is anything but a definitive guide, and is purely a trip down memory lane for me, and anyone else interested walking our picturesque and colourful canals and rivers.

 

Of necessity, it is mainly photos of water, locks, boats and some country pubs, plus various other scenes that try to capture the tranquility of our countryside.

 

It's been a lot of fun to do, and hopefully might enthuse others to get out and walk some of the towpaths pictured on my site, and enjoy our countryside at it's best.
